How to Install E3 ODE Pro on PS3

E3 ODE Pro will be released soon! Dwtechz.com said that they will receive them in October. And players can pre-order them now. Now here is simple E3 ODE Pro guide for reference.

E3 ODE Pro full kit includes four flat cables, one power cable, two mainboard and a USB card reader. The two mainboard include one big and one small.

Here is a close-up picture for the mainboard. There are 7 way FFC to adapter, 24 way FFC to adapter and 2 wire power cable to adapter.

Here is the PS3 mainboard. The red circle we made is where we solder the small mainboard of E3 ODE Pro.

Here is a close-up picture for the solder part.

Then solder the small mainboard to the PS3 mainboard according to the picture.

Lead a cable and pay attention that we should leave the space for the PS3 cables itself.

All the power cables solder is finished.

Install the four flat cables into the correct parts as below. One four-pin cable should be connected with the big mainboard and the other one should connect with the USB reader.

As the picture, the cables should be connected in the right place and be fixed on the board.

Then we can should focus on the back of PS3 mainboard.

Put the PS3 mainboard into the shell. The outside white flat cable is to connect the USB card reader. Other flat cables and power cable are all in another direction.

Then connect the other side of those flat cables and power cable to the mainboard of E3 ODE according to their pin type.

Game CD is not put in the CD driver when the PS3 does not power on.

Then power on your PS3. The blue indicator of E3 ODE Pro will be flashing. Then it starts to work. You can enjoy PS3 games now!

1: Go to PS3 Code Unique 3 official site: http://www.cu3.hk and download PS3_CU3_4.X.pkg and install it to PS3

2. Download according codes db to any usb disk root directory

cheatlist.dat Official code update file (Official support cheat code in 4.xx cfw, and VIP support)

cheatcu2.dat Custom dat file (non official, game sites and forum released file, file name”st.dat” should be rename to “cheatcu2.dat”)

cheatcu2.txt Custom txt file (Complete open protocol, you can add, delete , modify your own cheat code)

3. CU3 support dual code switch, (press SELECT+L2), and the custom code file can be dat or txt, so the combinations could be:

A: cheatlist.dat+cheatcu2.dat

B: cheatlist.dat+cheatcu2.txt

4. According to your favor, plug in both the USB disk with “.dat” file and the CU3 dongle to PS3 (don’t use an usb extending cable). Then turn on PS3. After booting up, it shows “ Updating cheatcode, Don’t eject the device!…” After updating process, it will access CU3 game selecting page. If successful updating, “.dat” file in USB disk would be deleted. (Official dat file would be deleted in 1 minute, custom file in about 1 minutes and 40 seconds, please be patient)

Attention: when you have updated with dat file,pls power off your console and restart it.

[3K3Y Install] 3K3y User Manual

3K3y Installation Manual

1. Obtain your PS3 BD drive keys and copy it to the supplied 3K3y micro SD card.

2. Remove the rubber cover, retaining screw and decorative plastic cover from your PS3

3. Remove the retaining screws and top cover from your PS3

4. Disconnect the PS3 BD drive power cable from the PS3 motherboard5. Lift out the PS3 BD drive and disconnect the 60way FFC

6. Connect the 3K3y power Y lead to the PS3 motherboard, ensure the double end of the Y lead is

connected to the PS motherboard7. Connect the 3K3y 60 way FFC to the PS3 BD drive, fold it around the PS3 BD drive

8. Connect the 3K3y power Y lead to the PS3 BD drive

9. With the 60 way FFC held out of the way replace the PS3 BD drive10. Place the 3K3y PCB as shown below, secure the PCB using the supplied double sided sticker.

11. Refold the original PS3 60 way FFC as shown and connect it to the 3K3y PCB ZIF connector

marked FROM_HOST1, if required it can be secured to the PS3 BD drive with tape.

12. Connect the 3K3y 60 way FFC (from step 7) to the 3K3y PCB ZIF connector marked TO_DRIVE1.

Note, the blue plastic reinforcement of the 60 way FFC must be facing up.

Note, the 60 way FFC must enter the ZIF at 90 degrees

13. Connect the 3K3y Y lead to the 3K3y PCB. Be sure to orientate the plug correctly, if the connector

does not fit easily check the orientation. Never force the plug into the receptacle.

14. With a sharp knife or wire cutters remove part of the plastic case as shown15. Pass the 3K3y 4 way FFC through the hole made in step 14, take care not to damage the FFC

16. Connect the 3K3y 4 way FFC to the 3K3y USB adapter as shown. Note the blue plastic

reinforcement must face the female end of the USB adapter.

17. Plug the USB adapter into one of the PS3′s USB sockets18. Connect the 3K3y 4 way FFC to the 3K3y PCB ZIF connector marked USB. The 4 way FFC should

be routed tidily and may be secured with tape. Note, the blue plastic reinforcement of the 4 way FFC

must be facing up.

19. Install the 3K3y micro SD card

20. Carefully replace the top cover of the PS3, ensure that it does not interfere with the 3k3y PCB.

Replace the top cover retaining screws.

21. Replace the decorative plastic cover and retaining screw.
