R4i gold 3DS can be updated to run on the latest 3DS 6.0.0-11U/6.0.0-12E/6.0.0-12J now! You can follow our steps below to update your R4i gold 3DS card.

1. Download the wood R4 kernel V1.60 and R4i gold 6.0 patch

2. Unzip these two files into the root of your Micro SD card
3. Get a NDSL/NDSi or a 3DS which system version is below 3DS6.0.0-11 in preparation
4. Insert your SD card into your R4i gold 3DS card
5. Put your R4i gold 3DS card into your console
6. Run R4iGold_3DS60_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds and then the updating process starting

Attention: After updating your R4i Gold 3DS card successfully, open the shell of your card, see the PCB picture below, cut off the signal line as shown by arrow in the yellow oval.

Note: Don’t cut the line before the patch updating done!

After that, your r4i Gold 3DS card can run on 3DS 6.0.0-11U/6.0.0-12E/6.0.0-12J.

If you can’t enter wood menu with your R4i gold 3DS card, you can update it with another card on a NDSL console.

1. Just get a working flashcard, such as R4, AK2, DSTwo and etc. and boot up R4iGold_3DS60_Patch_NDSL.nds

2. Take out your working flashcard from the NDSL and insert your r4i Gold 3DS card

3. Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin.

After updating successfully, you need to follow the “Attention” part as above (cut off the signal line).
