Nintendo updated the system on Old and New 3DS firmware to 9.9.0-26U with the almost same changelog, “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.” Please note that this update  is just for US verson ,Europe/Japan did not get an update to Home Menu.

Gateway 3ds can work on sysnand 4.1~9.2 and emunand 9.8.0 well while this update break gateway muti-rom as last two update. It might also break region free on gateway 3ds and any other CFW in region free. Please not update your console when you use GW as before.
