New Nintendo console—2DS has been announced today. It can compatible with all 3DS and DS games. But it does not include the function to display games in 3D. It still includes other functions of 3DS, such as WiFi, local multiplayer, etc..

It will be available on October 12^th  and next is Pokemon X and Y release on October 14th.

Will flashcarts still work on it? In theory, if the software and firmware of the 2DS are the same as 3DS, we believe that flashcarts will still work on it. We will test the R4i gold 3DS card, Supercard DStwo, R4i-sdhc 3DS rts, Ace3ds Plus, R4isdhc silver card, R4isdhc dual-core card on 2DS soon! Will the Gateway 3DS card work on 2DS? It is a question. Let’s wait and see later.
