According to R4i-SDHC 3DS official website, the R4i-SDHC 3DS firmware has been updated to V1.64b.  As the R4i-SDHC 3DS can support the latest 3DS V4.4.0-10 and DSi V1.44, you can update your firmware to make it work better on your consoles.  You can download from:http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp.
